Poster Making!

Unleash your creativity!

Just think of an Event you'd like here, at the CASTLE and create a poster for it!
This is a poster-making contest to promote Medieval Times or Futuristic Times, the way of life, actual events from history , guilds, arts, love, cooking, gardening, mazes, battles, dancing, what is your dream event at a 13th century castle?

Create a poster and send it our way.  All entries due by Sept. 5th, 2020.  Winner announced on Oct. 31, 2020 at the Masquerade Ball.

The Mechanics or Guidelines:

1. Must be your own work, original design.
2. Finished Poster should be place in 1/2 sized illustration board (with digital copy available for actual event and to be used for voting on facebook)
3. Clip art will not be considered.
4. Photos may be used (but must have written permission of photographer and talent in photographs.)
5. Competition is open to all any age.
6. Only one entry per contestant
7. All entries due Sept. 5th, 2020. 
8. A brief explanation of event should be attached on the back of the poster.

Winner announced on Oct. 31st, 2020.

Judging Criteria


The winner will be based on votes from facebook (50 %) and judges (50%). The criteria for judging is as follows:

1. Impact and Interpretation:          35%
2. Originality:                                 25%
3. Artistry and Creativity:               25 %
4. Quality Consideration:                15%

Impact & Interpretation: must correctly reflect the theme you have selected.
Originality: Must not be a replica or an imitation of any existing poster on the subject
Artistry & Creativity:  The poster must be attractive and eye-catching.
Quality and Considerations:  Neatness, presentation on the poster board.

The posters will be open for viewing at the Masquerade Ball Oct. 31, 2020!
